Come and unleash your creativity
Come and unleash your creativity
At Flourish, we're passionate about all things crafting! We believe that crafting is not just a hobby, it's a way of life. We're here to help you unleash your creativity, learn new skills and make beautiful things for your home and to gift.
In an age where so much of our lives revolves around technology, the aspect of working physically with our hands and using our imagination is often missing. Crafting enables us to develop hand/eye coordination and explore traditional methods of making. Working with patterns and choosing shapes and colours we're stimulating our ability to think visually and project ideas into practical objects. All the while improving dexterity in a calm, stress free environment.
The majority of our materials are organic and ethically sourced and plastic free.
Workshops suit all ages* and abilities so it's a great way to unite several family generations together.
All workshops are available as group bookings only. 3-6 places per session. *Children aged 5 and above are welcome accompanied with an adult.
Min 3-Max 6 places per session.
Half days 10am-1pm/2pm-5pm £40 per person incl 2 print items*
Full day plus light lunch 10am-4.30pm £80 incl 4 print items*
*Additional print items are available to buy - please request price list.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, we're here to offer advice and guidance every step of the way. We provide all the materials you need to design, make and finish your creations during the workshop so that you leave us with unique, handmade things and new skills and ideas to inspire and continue crafts beyond the classes.
Perhaps we will inspire you to take up a new hobby? Or simply enjoy a relaxing, social day with the added bonus of making items to take away. Either way we're confident you'll find it a therapeutic experience in an informal setting.
We always find that those who declare themselves 'not very creative' are delighted with the results they achieve in the workshops. Some of the items intended as gifts often become hard to part with and those on the receiving end are impressed with the handmade results. A sweet ceramic coil pot for windowsill herbs; a hand printed tea towel or a personalised apron - everything made is unique and special.
As well as the above, we can run other workshops including handbuilt ceramics, making cyanotypes and papercrafting. Please contact for details/prices.
We also run the occasional seasonal workshops so please look out for details - visit us here now and again and we'll share any plans for upcoming projects.
Originally from Cornwall I studied a BTec HND in Graphic Design before moving to London . A career in publishing at Country Living Magazine and Company Magazine was followed by the founding of Spring Studios, providing services and production to the media industry.
In 2011 I moved to rural Kent and have rekindled a passion for ceramics and crafts alongside other personal projects.

The above were made with local children's drawings which we had made into transfers fired onto ceramic tiles. They were then sold for charity at the jubilee event held that month.
Had a wonderful time with Charlotte doing block print. I am so proud of my tea towel with a hare design. Lots of great ideas from Charlotte, with plenty of choices to print with and great fun seeing what others did.
I had a great time at Flourish. We made lots of Christmas presents for people and Charlotte helped me a lot. She helped me to choose my colours and showed me which blocks I could use. I made a rabbit print cushion for my room and I love it. Lots of people have told me that they think it’s really lovely. Mum says we can go back to Charlotte’s in the Easter holidays and I’m planning what I can make, already. I give it 10 out of 10!
Thank you, love from Belle.
I wanted to do something different and creative with my daughter who is 11.
We booked a half day block printing course and invited my friend and her daughter. It was so good that we immediately booked to go back again.
The course is held in Charlotte’s beautiful home and it was the perfect setting for a productive, yet relaxed, day.
Charlotte gave us a thorough tutorial before we commenced printing (including practice time) and was on hand to give us guidance and advice as we needed it. She was able to listen to our ideas and make suggestions about blocks and colours that we might not have visualised ourselves. The result was some beautiful printing and plenty of Christmas gifts made.
The equipment is all provided and of beautiful quality. There are so many blocks to choose from that it was difficult to decide which ones to use.
We are delighted with the things that we made during our two sessions and the comments we’ve had from recipients of our gifts have made it all the more precious.
Thank you for a wonderfully, creative experience and for making it all so easy for us.
We WILL be back!
I really enjoyed my block printing class, it was a friendly calm environment. Charlotte's instructions were clear and helpful with tips and tricks throughout to ensure we got the best results. The products to print on were high quality and there was a large assortment of block designs that meant a lot of creative freedom to create whatever I wanted to.
I would highly recommend block printing with Charlotte, I had a great time learning the different effects Charlotte showed us, she encouraged me to be creative and experiment with the many blocks and colours available. It was very relaxing and you could get lost in your ideas. Charlotte is a great teacher and host.
We spent a thoroughly wonderful morning with Charlotte learning the art of block printing. My daughter and I went along with friends just before Christmas and made some gorgeous handmade festive gifts.
Charlotte was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. She has a wide variety of equipment to choose from and her guidance on how to get the best results was really easy to follow. We had such a wonderful time, we booked to go back and do it again a few weeks later. I really can't recommend Charlotte enough. We will definitely be going back.
